Also without knowing, users can limit and reduce the offered quality depending devices and connection quality. In 2021 streaming services offer audio files with greater than CD quality (see minimum stream rate table below *) but that's not always what you get. Apparently users like to sit back and listen, and be sure of the highest quality sample rate and bit depth when different tracks are playing. I noticed the sample rate and bit depth feature has been asked for many times on this forum for a couple years now. Today when using BlueOS the user has to laboriously navigate for each individual track to know sample rate and bit depth, over and over again. If high res music up to 24bit/192Hz is playing why hiding this information in a multitude of clicks under Technical info? Indeed BlueOS CAN stream lossless wireless and through ethernet, but how to be sure about zero loss in sound quality from the Now Playing screen?Ä«luOs is great for playing lossless files.
